We are proud employees at an environmentally certified workplace.
Since 2018, we have been actively working on our environmental work and can proudly announce that in September 2023 we were awarded the international Green Key environmental label.

In the past, we have been environmentally certified through the Swedish Environmental Foundation.
Not only do we have environmental diplomas via Green Key, we are also based in one of Gothenburg’s LEED-certified buildings, the so-called Green Scraper.
LEED means that you have looked at aspects such as water, energy consumption, sustainability, location and transport, materials and resources, etc..
In a LEED certification you can get a maximum of 110 points and there are four different levels:
We also have great focus on our meals. We serve lunch to hundreds of guests every day and it is important for us to take our social responsibility in this. We do this by:
Purchase
Only use environmentally certified, or with other approved marking, suppliers of our printing materials and raw materials.
Buy as many goods as possible from the same supplier and thus minimize transport and thereby environmental impact.
Buy raw materials according to season and as far as possible – organic and fair trade.
Serve filtered and carbonated tap water and meal drinks in carafes.
Choose packaging and disposable materials that are as environmentally friendly as possible. All our takeaway materials are compostable, including boxes and lids.
Try to exclude the use of chemicals as much as possible, but when necessary – only use environmentally friendly chemicals.
Waste, energy & transport
Minimize waste by selling our food cheaper at the end of the day.
Reduce our CO2 emissions by serving a lot of green on the buffet and always offering vegetarian options.
Sort all our garbage and recycle what we can.
Communication & education
Annually re-diplomate and train our staff in environmental work and current legislation. Have a working group that monitors key figures on a monthly basis and inform the other staff on a monthly basis. We communicate to our guests, suppliers and other stakeholders via our website and on site.
Our conference facility has been awarded the international Green Key environmental label.
We work actively with environmental and sustainability issues through Green Key’s comprehensive criteria.
Environmental certification of one’s business means that an environmental management system according to the requirements of the Green Key is introduced.
The environmental management system is a tool for creating order and order in environmental work and reducing the business’s environmental impact.
Environmental work can strengthen the company’s brand, facilitate marketing and contribute to an improved competitive position. With a Green Key environmental diploma, the company’s environmental work can be marketed throughout Sweden.
Some of our commitments are:
To use 100% renewable electricity, energy-saving lighting and have routines for reduced energy consumption
Initiative taken to reduce energy consumption
Sorts and recycles our waste and that of our guests
Uses eco-labelled cleaning products
Offers our guests organic products at conference meals
Works towards reduced food waste
We would like our guests to help us by:
Leave packaging in our recycling bins or left in the rooms, so that we can sort these at source
Turn off lights, switch off electronics and unplug chargers when you leave the rooms
Avoids throwing food. E.g. by not taking more than you can eat. It’s great to go several times
Travel to and from our facility using environmentally friendly means of transport, e.g. train, public transport or why not “Styr och Ställ”. A convenient way to rent a bike in Gothenburg
More information about “Styr och Ställ” is available at www.goteborg.se
